What we collect

Pet profiles you enter (weight, age, etc.): stored in your own browser (local storage) so your recipe works. They are not sent to our servers unless you sign in or generate a recipe.

Email address: only if you join the waitlist, create an account, or ask us to email you a result. Used to send that email and product updates you can opt out of.

Usage analytics: anonymous, aggregated events (e.g. “a recipe was generated”) to understand which features help. These do not identify you personally.

Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic — which pages you visit, roughly where you came from, and what device you used. It sets cookies on your browser to tell one visit from another. Your IP address is anonymised by Google and we never send it your pet profiles, email address, or recipes. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies for this site.

Service providers we use

We use trusted processors to run the service: Netlify (hosting), Supabase (database/auth for accounts and waitlist), Resend (transactional email), and Google (Google Analytics 4, traffic measurement). They process data on our behalf under their own security terms.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices and rights

Analytics cookies are controlled by the consent banner shown on your first visit. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland analytics stays off until you accept; elsewhere it is on by default and you can decline at any time. Change your choice whenever you like via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

You can clear pet profiles any time by clearing your browser’s site data. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message.

Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email hello@verabowl.com.

Children and changes

VeraBowl is for adults caring for their pets; it is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy as the product grows. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
